I can't remember the last time I heard Trump saying his old slogan of "drain the swamp!". Why? Because if you ask me, the swamp was never drained, much to the contrary.
What gives?
If we look at the political situation today, we'll see the picture crystal clear. We have the same old two parties, proposing nothing new that will make your life, or mine, any better.
It's the same old crappy stuff that politicians are experts at delivering, all empty of substance or truth.
We have the same candidates for the presidency as if time stood still for the past four years. Nothing new under the sun. In the meantime, at least in private, 78 % of Americans wish new blood would come onto the circuit.
Then you have die-hards for both candidates, but mostly for Trump.
One thing is true; no one really seems to want a repeat of the same old, same old. Do you?
We know Biden is in serious trouble if he loses. That's the main reason why he'll run again. To say he has a lot of explaining to do, is to put it mildly.
Sooner or later, heads will roll like during the Bastille days over in Paris.
You can see it right now, everyone is trying to cover their tracks. The Internet, however, is a beautiful thing when it comes to looking up some records. And everything is documented. Everything.
It reminds me of the Memorex slogan: "Is it live or is it Memorex?"
All is there for the pleasure of your viewing disposition.
Come to think of it, no one has gone to jail from high political circles since the Nixon years and Watergate. No one soul.
Talk about covering their tracks.
They wrote the Encyclopedia about it, but whether this time is going to be enough remains to be seen.
Trump is an absolute phenomenon. I remember when he lost the presidency, people were screaming from the rooftops about how quickly he was heading to the big house. It's been three years and they're still waiting.
Somehow, he managed to escape prosecution on previous charges of collusion, the famous "quid pro quo" and other assorted goodies.
Now, they're trying again with something else, mishandling of State secrets and confidential information, which adds to basically, irresponsible negligence.
Nothing will come out of it, but that's not the point. The point is that he's back in the spotlight again. And that's exactly where he wants to be.
You can't make this up. There are all kinds of problems inside the country and a terrible war thousands of miles away that is sucking us dry. We are facing terrible heat waves where the power grid may fail to hold, an immigrant crisis and homelessness, and last but not least, a drug epidemic the likes we've never seen before.
But if Trump is on the news, that takes prioritization. “All eyes on me”, he thinks, and he'd be right.
Is it a problem with us, the American people, that we're facing these situations, or is it a preprogrammed distraction for whatever TPTB’s plans might be?
Are we gullible or just misinformed?
Are we victims or willing participants?
We have free choice, free speech, and freedom of movement.
What have we done with all those privileges?
We go to sleep, and every morning we wake up to a crazier world.
