Where did you learn that? Thomas Edison (The Wizard of Menlo Park) was in par with the likes of Ford and Tesla. Most geniuses didn't reap the benefits of their work back in those days. Einstein was the exception, but barely.

I love this. The point about risk in creativity really hits with me this week. I think there's so much invitation to comparison in the culture right now that it can kind of disincentivize trying new things because the first try likely won't come out well. But you have to try in order to learn!

That's the idea. I've also made a post about the severe dangers of comparison about two months ago, and you are absolutely correct. A lot of young kids (and not fully mentally-mature adults) choose to measure themselves with “influencers" sticks, not realising the damage they're causing themselves. Thanks for commenting!
