Pema Chodron says we shouldn’t try to ascribe story to everything, something I am guilty of doing all the time! Because our mind searches for stories and meaning, and yet that can be the downfall of happiness. Im reading the man who could move clouds by Ingrid Roas Contreras, and she says that when she suffered amnesia, she was the happiest she had ever been.

I agree with that basic premise from Pema. But Ingrid said what!?

Yeah, when she got her mind back and the amnesia went away, she lost the blissful feeling of not knowing

As in, she grieved it

Personally, I've never agreed with the old saying of "Ignorance is Bliss" for obvious reasons. But we all know---however, that everybody is different. What works for one, doesn't necessarily work for another. 🤗

Yes, it’s different for everyone, but I personally think I would be happier if I was more ignorant. Then again, grass is always greener on the other side so 🤷‍♀️

I'd rather be an overthinker, than an underthinker.

Like they say, "it's your choice". Besides, it's a free country. 😄

For now it's a free country, as long as we don't get Cuntala in there. Then bye, bye bill of rights.

“By grounding ourselves in simple joys—nature’s rhythm, a deep breath, the warmth of sunlight—we can reconnect with the present and free our minds from endless loops of worry.”— Lovely … and important 🥰

This is good, speaking as a lifelong overthinker. I’m going to link to it in my own blog post this week. Thanks!
