I've never seen a ghost... I've never seen a virus.

Actually, me neither. :)

This is a subject I am curious about but reluctant to pursue, mostly due to concerns that inviting spirit beings into any form of relationship/acquaintance might attract entities or forces I could be incapable of managing and I don’t want to engage “familiar” spirits as they could be demonic in nature. I, like thousands of ppl, get the sense of dark spiritual energy at times and it isn’t pleasant. Then there are times I sense light or positive spiritual energy.

My own theory is that the spirit world is a different dimension that exists all around our own. I suppose it’s rather like a open door. Spirits can move through these openings or portals. The more removed we are from the natural world the less we can sense it.

Every culture has it spirits: both holy and unholy and have a belief in an afterlife for the soul once the body dies and a sort of reckoning or judgement. I agree though that if our government has knowledge of off world beings living among us we should know. Maybe there are.

Maybe big foot and yetis are real.

Maybe one day we will all know.

Or not..👽👀

Couldn't agree more. We're on the same page. Besides, we are energy beings, so it'd be absolutely normal that we just change vessels when we pass. I also believe in cosmic karma and obviously, reincarnation. Unless... we are done learning lessons here on Earth. If that's the case, we are the most fortunate ones, for we will be ascending to a higher frequency, closer to Source. xo

Asian medicine considers the energy meridians which are important to keep open and as balanced as possible. Western medicine focuses almost entirely upon physiology. Treating both is the best way to achieve the level of wellness needed to be our individual best. Today is the second time in forever that I listened to a podcast interview of an American physician who noted that treating health is as important (if not more so) as treating disease. This is not very mainstream yet. With telecommunications shrinking our world ever smaller, health care practitioners are becoming more familiar with the benefits of integrated health care and do not arbitrarily dismiss alternative care as unscientific. It is encouraging.

As long as one can dodge Baba Yaga in the forest, most supernatural entities are rather benign. Used car salesmen, carnies, clowns and politicians are the ones to avoid. Maybe mimes..

Peace to you Rene.

Good news, then. Yeah, mimes are scary. 😂 Thank you, Maureen for your illuminating comment, as usual. Peace to you as well. 🌱

I believe in the after life and different realities or realms of different universes other than the one we perceive. I personally have spoken with the other side. My grandma visited me ten years in my dreams after she passed. I had a bad automobile accident in the 70s. I walked out to 7/11 to call the police. The clerk asked me who the lady was in the car that pulled me away from my steering wheel. I told him I was alone. He described the lady he saw and it was my late grandma Carrie Soleta. Nice I told him. I could have gone through the front windshield but my late grandma basically saved my life.

Wow! Another story of guardian angels intervening to protect us. There are many anecdotes such as yours depicting the same thing. Thank you!

Yes, I have always been interested in this subject, ever since I was a young child. What kid is not interested in ghosts and the paranormal?

There are indeed phenomena and/or spiritural beings beyond science's ability to measure. This is because the measuring instruments that science uses are made for material beings and ghosts and other apparitions are spiritural beings. So it will not be science that can provide evidence; it can only be humans with certain special abilities attuned to different realms.

There are charlatans, no doubt; but there are a handful of authentic seers/mediums/spiritural guides in every generationn. Who they are, I do not know. But they do exist and it is worth investigation.

I myself have felt different energies emanating from certain places and persons. Animals, of course, including Arya, have far more developed spiritural senses that most humans. So, another fascinating topic, Rene.

Love the mystery surrounding it. There's so much we don't know and I don't have enough hours in the day to read about it all. This and my series of Mysteries of the Mind, which are ongoing. Thank you, Perry! Much appreciated. )

Beautifully written …It does make one wish for a flavor of one, I guess. I’m very picky though and would want a particular kind from a certain time… say, the Civil War … I was on a tangent and interrupted by a phone call, so I’ll start over again …eventually. Thank you for this!

A hillbilly who can read and write. And you're looking at a ghost.

You covered an interesting topic making humans curious for centuries. Currently there are no scientific evidence on the existence of ghosts but what we know through science is also limited. As we develop new tools it might be possible to explain such intangible subjects in the future.

I'm hoping we will. In the meantime, what do we do with the data collected so far by non-mainstream science? And The Vatican has a special dept for exorcisms, why?

My thoughts only. We are taught life end when we die but in realty it just begins. And my understanding is when Jesus comes back he will judge those both "dead" and alive and at that time we go to to eternal life.

Maybe those that are in the middle are those ghost/spirits/feeling we experience. Maybe they have unfinished business, maybe they question what happened to them, maybe they wonder why we are in their home, their land, the place where they died.

To believe we are alone is limiting.

I'm not satisfied with "what we are taught". Why should I believe people that never experience death to tell me what I should believe? I prefer to adhere to the Buddhist tradition of reincarnation for a purpose. Thank you for your comment! Food for thought. x

Every now and again, when I'm in a dark and unfamiliar place, I'll feel a sharp and inexplicable fear. "Ghost" is very good word to describe this sensation.

Thanks for writing. I think your piece was very intelligent and thoughtful.

Thank you for your kind words. ✌️

Yes, I hear many people claim the same phenomenon. Also, they feel colder than they should. Always.
