I’m speechless, and saddened because I know there are many who enjoy witnessing this process. I don’t feel I could ever ENJOY(?)such savagery. This is well-written, and a wake-up call to the industry.
Can't say because I've never been to one, I think you can tell. But I'm sure not many children are taken to these events. They're horrendous to watch and no good parent would put a kid through that spectacle.
An aching piece. I know bread and circuses are tradition, but I always think of them as barbaric. Animals becoming entertainment for human makes me shiver with disgust. You gave a proper voice to the poor dear bull. Thank you.
Thank you! I couldn't write the barbaric bull's usual demise, so i included the dream sequence at the end. Not sure if that needs editing or it is clear enough. Just couldn't do it. I got emotional in the middle of it.
Hope it's a wonderful word. No wonder it's in your name as well. You must read the story here about the lion in Africa (from his perspective). That one is funny.
I had no idea that it was such a big sport in South America still. This was a well written piece that made me want to go and help that bull along to safety. Kind of makes me want to read Ferdinand again too. Thanks for sharing this story!
Yes, sadly it is "entertainment" in some South American countries, predominately in Ecuador and Colombia. Thank you so much for your comment. Means a lot! ✌️
This may sound pedantic but that's not my intention. These people are on a lower frequency than the rest of us. It's as simple as that. Hopefully, one day, they'll find their own humanity.
It was one the hardest things ever to write. Had to stop several times, but it had to be said. This insanity must stop ASAP. Thank you so much for your kind comment, Isha! ❤️
Such a beautiful story from the sweet innocent bull’s perspective . If only all bullfighting would end.
I know, right? I think Mexico and South America are the last bastions of it. The sooner the better. Thank you for your comment! <3

I wonder if children cry at these events?

No, neither have I.

I think it's perfect the way it is. I would have probably bawled too. We need a bit of hope.

Agree with that! Oooo. I will absolutely do so!
Let me know if you managed to find it. 😊
I did. Will read ASAP!

Thank you for these words. Bullfighting is barbaric and must end. I will never be able to understand those who enjoy watching such cruelty.

I can relate to the bull. So can any true believers
Yes, indeed! x
I felt sad just reading it. But also happy because it is such an evocative read and still so well written. Loved it!
