Some of the players seem spot on but the big stealth threat continues to be China. They have been busily building up an arsenal strong enough to be a global threat. During the centennial celebration of the CCP, Xi gave a speech declaring that the entire world will soon come under Chinese rule. He meant that. Scary thing is, that now seems a realistic scenario. That is the most oppressive regime aside from North Korea.
I have young adult children who face a possibly very bleak future. That makes me sad and angry. I honestly think most people have their heads in the clouds. 21st century war will be a different animal. There may well be no survivors.

I desperately want to offer you an answer, but it's not available with my limited intellect. I'm not sure if there is a solution to that problem. Besides, not only we don't make the calls, we lack the leadership necessary to enact such change. Morover, the two party system is a joke. There is no viable choice.
This is true. George Washington strongly urged the newly formed government to reject political parties all together but people are and always have been tribal.
I hope one day (maybe not too far away) we'll be able to time travel. Then, I'd love to meet ole George. The more I read about him, the more impressed I get with his courage. I wrote at least one piece about going back into the past.
